Fizulmia

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Fizulmia ("we," "us") collects, uses, shares and protects information when you use our website, apps, AI features, recipe and meal-planning tools, dashboards and community features (the "Service"). By using the Service, you acknowledge this policy. Please read it together with our Terms of Service.

In plain language

  • We collect information you choose to provide, like your email, pantry, recipes, meal plans, preferences and ratings.
  • We may collect technical and usage information automatically.
  • We use information to operate, personalize, secure, maintain and improve Fizulmia.
  • AI features may process information needed to generate responses and recommendations.
  • We use service providers, including hosting, analytics, payment and AI infrastructure providers.
  • We do not sell your personal information — including pantry, recipe, meal-plan, household or dietary information.
  • Some dietary or allergy information may be sensitive or health-related.
  • You can request access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights where applicable.
  • Some information may remain temporarily in backups or legally required records after deletion.
  • No online service can guarantee absolute security.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

We designed Fizulmia to help you generate recipes, meal ideas and meal plans based on the ingredients, preferences, household details and other information you choose to provide.

We aim to collect and use only the information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, personalize and improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private recipe, pantry, meal-plan or profile information to build advertising profiles about you.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Fizulmia, you may provide:

  • Email address, name or display name, and account credentials
  • Pantry items, available ingredients, recipes, meal plans and favorites
  • Ratings, reviews, recipe notes, photos and community posts
  • Cooking, dietary and cuisine preferences, serving sizes and ingredient exclusions
  • Allergies, food sensitivities and dietary restrictions
  • Household or family information
  • Cooking skill level, kitchen equipment, meal schedules and shopping preferences
  • Feedback, support messages and anything else you choose to share

You don't have to provide information a feature doesn't need.

3. Information That May Be Sensitive

Depending on what you share, some information may reveal health-related or personal characteristics, such as:

  • Food allergies and intolerances
  • Dietary, religious or health-related food preferences
  • Weight-related goals and nutrition information
  • A family member's dietary needs

We treat this information with care. Only share it if you're comfortable with it being processed as described here. Ordinary recipe features never require medical information.

Processing this information does not make Fizulmia a healthcare provider, and it is not protected by HIPAA.

4. Family and Household Information

You can create profiles for household members, which may include a name or nickname, age range, preferences, allergies, restrictions, dislikes and serving preferences.

Only add information about another person if you have the right or permission to do so. If you create a profile for a child or dependent, you are responsible for complying with applicable law.

5. Information Collected Automatically

We and our service providers may collect:

  • IP address, approximate location, browser, operating system and device details
  • Language preference and time zone
  • Pages viewed, features used, activity times and referring pages
  • Crash reports, diagnostics, performance data and security logs

We use this mainly for security, fraud prevention, debugging, analytics and performance.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your settings and language, secure the Service, measure performance and diagnose errors.

Where required by law, we'll ask for consent before using non-essential cookies. You can control cookies in your browser, though disabling them may affect some features.

7. How We Use Information

  • Provide the Service — generate recipes, meal ideas and plans, personalize recommendations, save your pantry, household profiles and favorites, and provide support.
  • Operate Fizulmia — sign you in, maintain accounts, process transactions, store data, troubleshoot and monitor performance.
  • Security and fraud prevention — detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, protect accounts and enforce our Terms.
  • Analytics and improvement — use aggregated or de-identified information to improve recipes, recommendations, AI, features and reliability.
  • Legal compliance — comply with law, respond to lawful requests, resolve disputes and protect users.

8. AI Processing

Fizulmia uses artificial intelligence for parts of the Service. When you request a recipe, meal plan, substitution or recommendation, the information needed to respond — such as ingredients, preferences, restrictions, household details and your messages — may be processed by AI systems.

We may use third-party AI providers on our behalf and seek to contractually limit how they use your information. Don't submit anything to an AI feature you wouldn't want processed to generate your response.

9. AI Training

Two separate promises: (1) Fizulmia does not sell your personal information to anyone, including AI providers. (2) Fizulmia does not give or license your personal information to AI providers to train their general-purpose models, and we do not train our own AI models on your pantry, family, allergy or recipe data.

We may use aggregated, de-identified or otherwise legally permissible information to improve Fizulmia's own systems. If we introduce a materially different use of personal information for AI training, we'll update this policy and give notice or ask for consent where required.

10. De-identified and Aggregated Information

We may create statistics such as popular cuisines, commonly requested ingredients, recipe popularity and feature usage, and use them as permitted by law. We won't attempt to re-identify de-identified information except as permitted or required by law.

11. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers only as needed for:

  • Cloud hosting, databases and data storage
  • AI infrastructure and authentication
  • Email delivery and customer support
  • Analytics, security, fraud prevention and error monitoring
  • Payment processing

12. AI and Technology Providers

Today, Fizulmia relies on these main providers: Lovable (website hosting, database, sign-in and email delivery, through Lovable Cloud); Google and OpenAI language and image models, reached through Lovable's AI gateway, which generate recipes, meal plans, photo scans, translations and cooking videos; and Google, Apple and Microsoft if you choose to sign in with them.

What they receive: only what a feature needs to answer — for example the ingredients, preferences, allergies, household size or photo you submit for that request. How long: AI requests are processed to produce your answer and are not kept by Fizulmia beyond your saved results; providers may keep request logs for a limited time for security and abuse prevention under their own terms. Your saved account data stays until you delete it.

To ask what a provider received, or to make any privacy request, email collaborate@fizulmia.com or use the tools on the Privacy Choices page.

No third-party infrastructure can be guaranteed completely secure or always available.

13. Payment Processors

If you buy a paid feature, a third-party payment processor handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. We generally don't store full card numbers.

14. Analytics Providers

Analytics and diagnostic services may receive device and browser information, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed and usage events. We'll provide notice and choices where the law requires.

15. Advertising and Marketing

We send transactional messages needed to run your account and, where permitted, marketing messages you can unsubscribe from at any time. You'll still receive essential account, security and legal notices.

If we ever introduce targeted advertising, we'll update this policy and offer any required opt-outs.

16. No Sale of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not intend to provide your private pantry, recipe, meal-plan, household or dietary information to data brokers. If this changes, we'll give required notices and choices first.

17. Business Transfers

If Fizulmia is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, asset sale or change of control, personal information may be transferred, subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.

18. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to subpoenas or court orders, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or security incidents, protect the safety and rights of users, Fizulmia or the public, or pursue or defend legal claims.

19. Data Retention

We keep information as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain your account and content, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and maintain security. When it's no longer needed, we delete, anonymize or aggregate it. Some data may remain in backups for a limited time.

20. Deletion

You can request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions. Deletion may not be immediate everywhere — data may briefly remain in backups, security logs, fraud-prevention systems or legally required records.

Deleting your account also deletes saved recipes, meal plans, pantry information, ratings and other account content.

21. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Know, access or get a copy of your information
  • Correct inaccurate information or delete it
  • Restrict, limit or object to certain processing
  • Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising
  • Withdraw consent and receive your data in a portable format
  • Learn about recipients and retention, and appeal decisions

Not every right applies everywhere. We may need to verify your identity first.

22. California Privacy Rights

California residents may have rights to know, delete and correct personal information, opt out of sale or sharing, limit use of sensitive personal information, and learn about the categories, sources, purposes and recipients of information collected. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

23. Other State Privacy Rights

Residents of other states with privacy laws may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, portability, consent, profiling, targeted advertising, sale, sensitive information, appeals and authorized agents. We honor rights according to the applicable law.

24. How to Exercise Your Rights

Email collaborate@fizulmia.com to request access, correction, deletion or another privacy right. We may ask for information to verify your identity, but never more than necessary.

25. Authorized Agents

Where permitted, an authorized agent may submit a request for you. We may ask for proof of your identity, the agent's identity and their authority to act for you.

26. Appeals

If the law gives you the right to appeal a decision about your request, contact collaborate@fizulmia.com. We'll respond within the required time.

27. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

There's no universal standard for "Do Not Track" signals, so our handling may vary. Where the law recognizes browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control, we honor them as required.

28. Security

We use reasonable safeguards, which may include:

  • Access controls, authentication and least-privilege access
  • Encryption in transit, and at rest where appropriate
  • Logging, monitoring and backups
  • Security testing, vulnerability management and incident response

No system is completely secure. Please keep your password and devices safe.

29. Data Breaches and Security Incidents

If a security incident involves personal information, we'll investigate and respond as required by law, including notifying affected people or authorities where required. Because we may process dietary or allergy information, incidents may also be subject to federal and state breach laws and the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule.

30. Health Information and HIPAA

Fizulmia is not a healthcare provider, health plan or clearinghouse, and is not a HIPAA-covered entity or business associate. Some health-related information may still be protected by other laws, such as the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule, and we comply with the laws that apply to us.

31. Children's Privacy

Fizulmia is not directed to children below the minimum age allowed by law, and we don't knowingly collect their information unlawfully. If we learn we have, we'll delete it. Parents or guardians can contact collaborate@fizulmia.com.

32. International Users

If you use Fizulmia outside the United States, your information may be processed in other countries with different privacy laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

33. European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland

If GDPR, UK GDPR or Swiss law applies, you may have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, information about automated decisions, and to complain to a supervisory authority.

Our legal bases may include performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests or consent. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal and operational limits.

34. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling

Fizulmia uses AI to personalize recommendations based on your preferences, ingredients, restrictions and past activity. We do not make decisions about your employment, credit, insurance, healthcare, housing or education. AI recommendations are not legally or medically significant decisions about you.

35. User-Generated Content

Recipes, reviews, comments, photos and ratings you post to community features may be visible to other users, who may copy or share them. Don't post personal information you don't want others to see.

36. Private vs. Public Content

Information stored privately in your account is treated differently from content you intentionally share publicly. Assume anything you publish can be seen and used by others.

37. Email Communications

We use your email to create and secure your account, provide features and support, send security, account, legal and transactional notices, and — where permitted — marketing. You can unsubscribe from marketing anytime.

38. Data From Third Parties

If you use sign-in providers (like Google, Apple or Microsoft), payment providers or other integrations, we may receive information from them and combine it with what you provide where needed.

39. Links to Other Websites

Fizulmia may link to recipe sites and other services with their own privacy practices. We're not responsible for them, so review their policies before sharing information.

40. Data Minimization

We seek to collect only what we need. Optional information is optional, though leaving it out may limit some features.

41. Privacy by Design

We build privacy into Fizulmia by limiting access and collection, separating account data where appropriate, minimizing retention, using technical safeguards, reviewing providers and regularly evaluating our practices. No system can eliminate all risk.

42. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy. For material changes, we'll notify you in the app, by email or another reasonable way, and obtain consent where required. The "Last updated" date shows the latest revision.

43. Contact Us

For privacy questions, requests, complaints or concerns, email Fizulmia at collaborate@fizulmia.com.

44. Privacy Requests

Please include enough information for us to find your account and understand your request. Never send passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers or medical records unless we request them through a secure process.
